We had the pleasure of developing a cutting-edge website and platform for the team at Student Wow Deals. Without a doubt, this project was one of the highlights of our year.

The challenge

Student Wow Deals is a large, fast-growing organization dedicated to helping students of all ages from primary school to university and online learners—save money and enjoy student life.

Since launching in Queensland, Australia in 2014, they’ve helped over 400,000 students access exclusive savings and lifestyle resources. But as the platform expanded its reach, services, and brand partnerships, their digital presence needed a serious upgrade.

The existing website lacked the modern experience today’s students expect. It didn’t reflect the scale of their offerings from discounts and local deals to accommodation, events, job opportunities, and student tips. It also wasn’t optimized for growth, conversions, or search engines.

Objective

To create a fully revamped website and platform that:

Showcases 500+ student discounts from top brands like Uber Eats, McDonald’s, Canva, and City Beach
Provides a seamless experience across mobile and desktop
Supports growth in both users and brand partnerships
Highlights their Student Ambassador Program, local accommodation listings, and event discovery tools
Organizes educational content, news, competitions, and student guides

Improves SEO, load times, and search visibility

The strategy

We approached this project with a clear focus on user experience, scale, and community-building. Students are fast browsers who need instant clarity, so the site structure was designed for ease of navigation, quick access to discounts, and smart filtering by location.

We developed custom backend tools that allow the Student Wow Deals team to manage hundreds of deals, events, guides, and updates effortlessly. Every section of the site from student news to the ambassador program was made more discoverable and more engaging.
